One of the lectionary readings for this coming Sunday talks about unity. ‘There is neither Jew, nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, neither male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.’ Galatians 3:28. Jesus brought people together and calls us as his followers to do the same.
