Andrew was born in Plymouth, worshipping at Greenbank & Peverell Park Methodist church. He worked as a clerk, including work for Plymouth City Council, and the Department of Employment.
He spent a year at Cliff College, and trained for the ministry at Wesley College, Bristol.
His first appointment was at Lifton in the Launceston circuit, & then in the Camborne circuit. His first superintendancy was in the West Devon circuit based at Okehampton, followed by a term in the Camelford and Tintagel circuit, including Boscastle at the time of the 2004 floods.
In the Liskeard and Looe circuit he lives at Pensilva serving the northern end of the circuit.
Meet the Staff
Revd Ruth Goodland
Ruth is Welsh by birth and delights in drawing upon her Celtic roots.  Prior to responding to the call to ministry she was Personal Assistant to the Quantity Surveyor of a large Construction Company.  Ruth has been involved in ministry for 25 years, transferring to the Methodist Church in 1997, her training took place with the Salvation Army and Wesley College Bristol.  She has ministered in the South Petherton and Crewkerne Circuit at Ilminster and then at Crewkerne as the Superintendent Minister.  2007 Ruth came to Cornwall to the Liskeard and Looe Circuit Team Ministry as Team Leader and Superintendent Minister. Ruth is married to Michael, a Minister in Saltash Circuit.
 
Steve is one of our Ministers. He is resident in Looe. His main interests are music, puppetry and golf.

Kate Michell

Kate is a pastoral support worker. Born into an Irish family, she is a practising member of the Catholic faith. Using her social skills she has worked in a variety of pastoral situations. She is supported by her husband Martin who works tirelessly in helping congregations in their worship through his musical talents and also by leading Taize style worship.

Helen Gardner

Helen Gardner is our Family Worker. Originally from Durham, Helen moved to Birmingham to gain her degree in Communication where she met her husband Roger (who grew up in Dobwalls). They moved to Menheniot 5 years ago. Helen has had a varied career as a BBC radio researcher, mortgage consultant and most recently as a business and personal development advisor. She has two children, Georgia who is 10 and William who is 7. Her full time role sees Helen developing fun, creative and engaging activities for young people and their carers across all of our churches, making church a place that children love to be.
